Housing and Care Options

Date:
Housing and Care Options

The proposed Zoning Bylaw adds clearer standards for secondary suites, garden and garage suites, manufactured and mobile homes, child care, residential care homes and personal care homes. These uses can support families, caregivers, workers and residents who want to remain in their community. The rules address matters such as location, size, parking, servicing, provincial approvals and compatibility with neighbouring development. Not every use would be allowed in every district, and some would require Council’s discretionary approval.
