Resources Energy and Aggregate Development

Oil and gas, pipelines, forestry and aggregate resources contribute to the regional economy, but their impacts must be planned. The proposed OCP expands direction for access, haul routes, road impacts, water protection, setbacks, reclamation, decommissioning and public safety. Development proposals may need technical information and coordination with provincial or federal regulators. The RM’s role is focused on municipal land-use matters and infrastructure while respecting other jurisdictions.
