Turtle Lake Lakeshore and Watershed Management Study - May 16, 2025
The state of Turtle Lake and its surrounding watershed has been studied in each decade since 1983 (i.e. in 1993, 2004, and 2016). It is now time to prepare an update with current information and scientific methods. The Rural Municipality of Mervin, and the Resort Villages of Kivimaa-Moonlight Bay and Turtle View received funding support from the Saskatchewan Targeted Sector Support Initiative to launch the Turtle Lake Lakeshore and Watershed Management Study as a joint project. Thunderchild First Nation are also participating to guide the Study.
More information about the Study, including monthly progress updates, are available on the Turtle Lake Lakeshore and Watershed Management Study project webpage through the link or QR Code below.
The Turtle Lake Lakeshore and Watershed Management Study will likely play a key role in shaping the Rural Municipality (RM) of Mervin's Zoning Bylaw and Official Community Plan (OCP) Review as the RM looks to balance growth with environmental sustainability.
